Infrastructure Committee
The Infrastructure Committee manages the back-end systems that support the SAGE web site and database. This team identifies system needs, prioritizes those needs, recommends and implements system improvements in keeping within the budgetary constraints of the organization.

Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee manages communications to the targeted audiences of the organization, who are generally prioritized in the order of: (1) volunteers, (2) “customers” (those who receive the benefit of our services), (3) allied organizations, (4) government, and (5) general public. This team reviews and updates publications and acquires meaningful articles to link to the website. The Marketing team publicizes SAGE events and the affairs of the organization and its committee volunteers to the media and to other partner organizations. In addition, this team keeps the Board, volunteers, partners and prospects abreast of the organization’s activities. It maintains communication tools (e.g. brochures, website) that reach committee volunteers and prospective volunteers.

Volunteer Recruitment & Management
The Volunteer Recruitment and Management Committee assists the Board in identifying their volunteer needs in terms of team experience, skills, and other considerations that define a "balanced" team composition. This committee provides assistance to orient new volunteers to the background, history and operating principles of the organization. It also helps inspire volunteers to retain their passion — the reason they joined and continue to fuel their reason to participate. In essence, the Volunteer Recruitment and Management team helps every volunteer feel special.

Some of the specific aspects of this team include assisting Board and Committees in defining resource needs by identifying skills, writing position descriptions and identifying back-up/cross training as needed. This team also identifies likely candidate pools for recruitment and contacts these candidate pools to generate interest in becoming a SAGE volunteer.

One of the most crucial functions of this team is to be the voice of the volunteer to SAGE. The Volunteer Recruitment and Management team does this by identifying what volunteers want from the organization, ensuring each volunteer has a job description and by creating and managing volunteer recognition programs.
